STONES FROM CHINA

On the floor of the Ngan valley there are stones that are reminiscent in their shape of the stones that overhang the mountains. The local people gently rearrange them and place them at the entrance of the temples. They are naturally remarkable, extraordinary. (…) The Yng Che stone stands elegant and beautiful on the cliffs of Mount Nan Ling, despite not having been touched by chisel or hatchet. It has a metallic sound. It is used as an ornament. This stone is a wonder. Large and rare.
