HONG KONG

1962. Two exquisite characters, Mr Chow and Mrs Chan, meet by chance in the urban, stifling and lonely atmosphere of a Hong Kong boarding house. And they also overlap in the night-time alleys, with their neon reflections and their shadows, almost always in the pouring rain. Chaotic and cosmopolitan, the city speaks, communicates. It is as if the walls, the smoke, the fast food joints, the cracks in the buildings were inhabited by a ghost that pretends to come to life and suffers the misfortunes of its protagonists, sometimes anguished, sometimes understandably melancholic, a boisterous accomplice of their furtive love.
