THE COMEDY

Marta Pazos lights up the scene of the unfinished Play without a Title with a fluorescent box, an incendiary space that she wants the audience to cross. A flash of vibrant orange — half mirror, half neon — made with three interchangeable ovals hooked to a moving ring that challenge us to play, mix and disassemble. To challenge, as Lorca aspired, the conventions of bourgeois theatre to thrust us into the void of the unknown. Because the movements of these earrings tear down walls, their sparkles reflect the audience that we all are. Art made into a jewel, and a jewel made into a provocation, ready to rewrite the rules.
