When the young explorers slipped down the sinkhole and fell into the chamber, their hearts literally stopped: the wonderful reflection of a fauna that disappeared millennia ago unfolded before their very eyes. Cave lions, rhinos and horses from another era, ibex and aurochs of dazzling shapes; bison formed by hands soaked in red, bears wandering without urgency and even owls made of clay by a single masterful finger. Sometimes alone, sometimes hidden, the animals gathered in the depths of the grotto took their breath away. Overwhelmed by the beauty of the scene, we wore these earrings, took a few breaths, and joined the dumbfoundedness. Boom, boom.
