BIRD FOOTPRINTS

The two footprints of this maxi pendant are but a reminder of what has taken place here: a fight between two males hoping to conquer the female. It all started exactly 30 cm from each other, in perfect alignment, with all the expected presentations: a gimmicky pirouette here, a heartfelt chant there. After this, came the ritualistic displays of courtship: while the first one jumps, the others stand as still as statues. As soon as his little feet land on the ground, it’s on to the next one. Once the last one finishes, they start all over again. They can spend the whole day like this, while the female thinks it overs, makes her choices and plucks the daisy … Is there any doubt as to who holds all the power in nature?
