One of the reasons of the strong link that Borges and Xul had was the coincidence on their pursuits. Before even meeting, Borges already walked over the same paths as Xul did: In Geneva and Lugano, for example, they frequented the same coffee shops, read the same books, loved the same literature. They tripped, without being aware of it, their steps. Reverses.
