SWEET COCCOLITH

85,00

The design of this tiny specimen of sweet coccolith was made possible by the scanning laser microscope provided by Louis Trebuchon, one of the greatest authorities on this family of mantled oceanic traditions. Enlarged to scale 1:105, the images speak for themselves: front side based around sea anemones that barely conceal a more than generous belly; a pastry bag on the left pincer and spatula on the right; remains of crème brûlée all over the shell and, between the feet, a tiny blow torch. And around it, in addition to hundreds of butter homunculi, marron glacé leviathans and icing sugar cyclops eyes, a specimen – somewhat already besprinkled – of Le Viandier of Taillevent.
