The masterful representation of objects, whether glass, fruit, or textiles, enhanced by a bright colour palette, make this Bacchus one of the finest examples of the Baroque. Within the painting we can distinguish three tonalities: gold, green and burgundy, a triad that acquires, apart from its chromatic value, a sensorial and symbolic meaning. This accessory combines three tones never before conjugated in previous collections; on the one hand, gold, the brightness of life, from which hangs green, the emanation of nature, topped with a burgundy drop, a reference to wine and its liberating character.
