The Demeters

Year2022
In this collection, we start at Mount Olympus to descend to Earth, abruptly sneak into the Underworld, and return, after countless adventures, back to the surface. And all because of the whims of its protagonists: the Greek gods! A mythical tale of deceit, betrayal, and power, but above all, of love. Of much love: that of a mother for her stolen daughter, with which antiquity explained the cycle of the seasons.
Hades emerges from the darkness to make Persephone, daughter of Demeter, queen of the dead. Her mother searches everywhere for her but does not arrive in time to prevent the wedding. Furious, she retreats to Eleusis, where she dedicates herself to cursing the harvests: she breaks the farmers' plows, the fields stop bearing fruit, the days grow shorter, the sun warms the frozen hearts of men less and less. A painful famine spreads among all mortal species, which will not end until her unbearable absence ceases. Then Zeus imposes a pact: the young woman will spend two-thirds of the year with her mother and the rest with her husband. Thus, when Persephone returns to her mother's arms, the world of the living regains its joy and the earth flourishes. And when she withdraws into the shadows, winter returns and the planet withers with sorrow.
But this is the simplified myth, of course, because between one episode and another, countless plots unfold with which the Greeks tried to understand the secrets of life: the mystery of perpetual transformation and metamorphosis, the changing seasons, why trees bloom or, simply, why it rains.
What arrives here is a story rooted in the earth, deep in Nature, with accessories that shrink like seeds, germinate like stalks, and sprout like tempting daffodils with which we will cross the domains of Hades, where burning earrings will await us like torches!
To do this, we start with two sources: the Homeric Hymns to Demeter and the peculiar narratives of Estefanía and Leire for each accessory, which may not have the depth of the bard, but are certainly much more fun!
