Celebration

The painter makes no secret of the fact that the person in front of him is not Bacchus, but a boy disguised as Bacchus. Presumably one of the young men who lived in Cardinal Del Monte's palace, acting without obligation as the host of a party and offering yet another glass of wine. He exudes sensuality; the carefree smile, the hand playing with the ribbon, the fabric exposing the torso. It is this festive atmosphere of 16th century Rome that we aspire to capture with a design that combines burgundy, and gold topped with a golden bow, a symbol of celebration.
