The decorator

In decorating their pergolas to impress females, the males become true artists: firstly, by locating treasures in specific colours to create the greatest contrasts. For example, spreading a carpet of light leaves at the entrance –generating radiance in the shadowy environment of the forest. Then, by selecting a specific flower, which they meticulously place in a hole, to be later admired from a safe distance – like a painter examines his canvas. Finally, they sit in their pergola, just as the female would do, to evaluate the entire construction from her perspective and adjust the finishing details as they see fit. Voilà!
