The secret

A hole dug in the rock of an ancient temple. A crevice in which to confess, cupping his hands, the painful secret of a lost love in the hope of alleviating a little, if only a little, the burden of a memory that will never leave him. Following the ancient ritual of his ancestors, in front of the ruins of Angkor Vat, Mr Chow brings his face close to a crack and whispers through his tears. And there he will remain, among the figures of apsaras, buried forever. In the distance, a Buddhist monk watches the scene impassively. As if time did not exist, like the world had come to a standstill. Music also stops to listen to Nature. Final fade-out.
