Interiors

Two solitudes and a passion restrained in the dense interiors of a Hong Kong guesthouse, a transcript of the protagonists’ souls and their fateful sentimental destiny. Each shot is a photograph within a photograph, a landscape within an inner world. A dance of tormented souls between doors and dividing walls that we witness with bewildered eyes: with its reds and blacks that spread through the space, from the velvet bedspread to the lantern on the bedside table; with its greens that spread over ageing walls of wallpaper and screens, cabinets and blue porcelain vases among steamy mirrors and wisps of smoke carving out figures in the air.
