The seed

We are in Paradise. Adam has awoken from his long sleep and looks at Eve with wonder in his eyes, in her pale and graceful beauty: she is the image of seduction and her gaze is the gateway to sin. Until then, the first man participated in the most sublime events in the company of his creator, but when he turned his gaze to the newly created Eve he returned to the world of the senses. This is a decisive moment because Adam will no longer submit to divine will but will act using his own judgement. The seed of desire has been planted, the bud of longing, feverishly confined within this celestial ring.
