A vibrant network of microscopic threads stretches underground for hundreds of kilometres, acting as a communication system. This is the mycelium, made up of tiny, web-like filaments known as hyphae. It passes through sediments and reefs, carpets and parquet floors, specks of dust, books, and paintings hanging in museums. It has no centre. It is one and a multitude at the same time. It cleans the air and the soil. It can withstand pressures of eighty atmospheres. It is constantly dying and being reborn, so technically it’s immortal. It is the basis of life, without which nothing would exist. Including this spectacular earring from our latest collection.
