A bear has broken into the studio!

And that's thanks to Marian Engel, whose novel – which explores the relationship between this adorable animal and a young librarian on a remote Canadian island – has captivated us to the point of dedicating our latest collection to it. On the one hand, it's an intimate journey into the depths of Nature, where we reproduce the essence of the winter landscape – from the lush Canadian forests to the unsettling presence of this furry mammal; and on the other, it's a tribute imbued with lyricism and sensitivity to the unlimited power of women far from the ties of the civilized world.

This new line of accessories, which translates the different chapters of the story and the successive scenes into a visual language of fabulous necklaces, brooches, and earrings, is also divided into 5 mini-collections (river -blues and transparents-, shore -blues and toffees-, bear -wines and pinks-, forest -golds and blacks-, and woman -pinks and blacks-), all made of plexiglass: a new material in jewelry that provides striking yet very light shapes. And, furthermore, very easy to combine.

Published by Impedimenta in 2015, the novel was extraordinarily well received by both critics and the public upon its release, and has now, by its own right, become part of the pantheon of essential classics of contemporary women's literature.
