How much technology has advanced since in 1665 Robert Malone unveiled the hidden world of small organisms through his basic microscope! And even today, specimens such as Pingus continue to arouse our curiosity, fuelling our desire to observe life in detail, eager to find out about the behaviour of creatures that would otherwise go unnoticed. Such as the candid smile they exhibit inside the egg until they hatch to create an empathic bond with the rest of the Marianas; or dressing each day in a single colour, pretending to be asleep when the conversation bores them or sarcastically imitating other species. Not to mention their tendency to chirp, play the air guitar or massage anti-stress balls for hours on end.
