The tribe

Our ancestors needed the group to survive: any other way and their life was literally in danger. Although our environment has changed today, we still need a tribe, a small community, to feel part of something. Because establishing intimate connections, creating lasting affective bonds relaxes our nervous system, extends the health of our brains and reduces both emotional and physical pain. We have not pulled this fact from thin air, in fact it has been confirmed by the largest study carried out to date: the important thing to stay healthy and happy is the quality of our relationships.
