The dove n.º 1

Long before Kandinsky, Malevich, or Mondrian claimed the invention of abstract art, Hilma was already painting in her small Stockholm studio: concentric circles simulating wormholes, spheres recreating planets, chromatic pyramids emulating a stellar temple, or flowers pulsating in the void with representations unseen until that date.

And it is on a geometric circle divided into two parts that we focused to design this earring, with one half white, the other pink, and a heart inside it depicting a stylized dove in profile. A symbol of universal peace on one hand and the recurring law of opposites on the other, to which we give a particular twist by selecting colors that do not compete for space but rather engage in a dialogue with each other.

It is our way of speaking about reconciliation (call us naive), with two distinct parts that, far from canceling each other out, sustain one another, and which we reinforce in the way it is worn, because by removing the upper piece, the heart becomes an independent earring—a half that stands on its own. A triple somersault.
