November 1907. In just six weeks, on the floor of her studio, Hilma paints a series of three-meter canvases on the cycle of human life, ranging from childhood to old age. The earring you see corresponds to maturity, in which two large yellow figures, marked with the Roman numerals I and II, unfold like a flower in splendor against an enigmatic lilac background.

Our gaze shifts to the upper edge, where both forms touch and generate that enormous silhouette that dominates the center. For Af Klint, yellow is light, fullness, life at its peak. So we added gold in volume to the accessory, with the pink drop spilling out as it waits to be defined, to recreate that same sensation but on a human scale, ready to be worn on your ears.
