Hilma paints the invisible. She explores beyond what the eye can see. She traces mystical figures that come from other dimensions. She seeks to understand the world from a cosmic perspective.

We pause at a brilliant sun with a rainbow pyramid. It is a path toward the light, toward supreme consciousness. Known as Altarpieces, it is part of the Paintings for the Temple: three monumental canvases on an altar that visitors reach after winding their way up a spiral staircase in a round structure. They convey peace, power, serenity.

And we embark on that same journey with this earring, with its architectural structure and a golden circle at the top as a source of radiance, from which a triangle descends, narrowing, stripe by stripe, from earthly red to the purest white. It is a diagram of ascent, starting from the earth in search of light. We reinvented a piece intended for a two-meter altar to fit in the palm of a hand without losing its essence or its direction. Upward. Always upward.
