THE FIGURINE

Schlemmer’s goal was to limit the actor’s movement to the most. To get this, he took advantage of all the moment’s technology -from scientific glass and metal devices to artificial members used in medicine or the fantastic militar and diver uniforms- to elaborate the different customes. Subjected to the material’s weight and to its bulky shapes, the actors moved on a comical and clumsy way all over the stage. As these Figurine shaped earrings that aim to recreate the same idea, but with a slight difference: their extraordinary lightness.
