Xul was a creator of worlds, an unclassifiable artist, an unpredictable inventor, magician with a overflowing imagination. He painted people with half moon and fish feet, airplane-people, cities that flew over other cities; he developed an astrological version of the chest and a duodecimal’ system; he developed musical instruments and two languages from A to Z; a skull’s attached telephone and an endless number of puppets and games painted in white, yellow, green and blue, conscious of the magic that the colors impregnate into things.
