Mahatmas n.º2

In ancient times, priests and magicians interpreted dreams for souls that could not see. These were the shamans or mahatmas, who made use of the Earth's elements along with signs from the Sun, the moon, and the stars. All of Hilma's abstract images are born under this trance, in which she adopts a passive attitude and limits herself to receiving messages. The spirits come from the astral world and are described as bright lights that spread love and gratitude. They identify themselves as Gregory, Amaliel, Ananda.

It is in this context that she abandons her dense chromatism to concentrate on the essential. Because, when the content is so resounding, the rest becomes superfluous. As an example, this circle divided into two halves, one light and one dark. That is all. Well, perhaps something more, because we have replaced the original white with a gold mirror so that the light can behave like color, oscillating according to the angle, the time, the gaze. Thus we reproduce the same duality, the same contrast, but with real luminosity instead of pigment. Will it open the doors to the beyond?
