“Be careful with your drawings,” the spirit of Ghanātman—*condensed soul* in Sanskrit—warns Hilma, “they are submerged images waiting for your eyes and ears to experience messages.” And so, little by little, the artist begins to capture the multiple forms of invisible realities: pyramids of light, otherworldly beings, halos, prisms, angels, ghostly spheres. A luminous geometry that only reveals itself to those whose body channels are open, pierced by the sublime tonality of light.

It is in this context that she abandons her dense chromatism to focus on the essential. Because, when the content is so resounding, the rest is superfluous. Take for example this circle divided into two halves, one light and one dark. Just that. Well, with something more, because we have replaced the original white with a golden mirror so that the light can behave as color, oscillating according to the angle, the time of day, the gaze. Thus, we reproduce the same duality, the same contrast, but with real luminosity instead of pigment. Will it open the doors to the beyond?

You will find it in Mahatmas, Series II, 1920.
