“Be careful with your drawings,” the spirit of Ghanātman—condensed soul in Sanskrit—warns Hilma, “they are submerged images waiting for your eyes and ears to be able to experience messages.” And so, little by little, she begins to grasp the multiple forms of invisible realities: pyramids of light, otherworldly beings, halos, prisms, angels, ghostly spheres. A luminous geometry that only reveals itself to those who have the channels of the body open, pierced by the sublime tonality of light.

With this combination, we descend from heaven to Earth. In the artist’s code, green is born from the fusion of blue (feminine) and yellow (masculine): it is thus the color of union, of attained harmony. And here we give it depth, betting on a dense tone like those she drew with the patience of a botanist. Beside it, copper, a metal of the Earth that conducts energy and that, with time and air, ends up covered in green. The two mirroring each other, so that the light travels the circle like a forest at sunset, igniting the copper and sinking into the green depending on the angle and the gaze. The same matter in two different moments of its transformation process, a small alchemical miracle contained within a circle.

You will find it in Mahatmas, Series II, 1920.
